Review:
I loved the writing of this book, the metaphors were so beautiful of the characters descriptions but at around pages 60 I figured out the ending and the next 10 pages were so tedious and literally a torture to read. If it wasn't that obvious I'd probably finish it. I'll try and finish it sometime but til then I'll just put it back in my shelf.

Eleanor & Park

Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell

Published: July 7th 2014 by Orion

About the Book:
Eleanor is the new girl in town, and she's never felt more alone. All mismatched clothes, mad red hair and chaotic home life, she couldn't stick out more if she tried.
Then she takes the seat on the bus next to Park. Quiet, careful and - in Eleanor's eyes - impossibly cool, Park's worked out that flying under the radar is the best way to get by.
Slowly, steadily, through late-night conversations and an ever-growing stack of mix tapes, Eleanor and Park fall in love. They fall in love the way you do the first time, when you're 16, and you have nothing and everything to lose.
Set over the course of one school year in 1986, Eleanor & Park is funny, sad, shocking and true - an exquisite nostalgia trip for anyone who has never forgotten their first love.

Review:
From where do I start? This book was so good! First of all I loved how realistic it was. It wasn't just love at first sight. They kinda hated each other and then they slowly fell in love. I love how they barely talked at first yet they already interacted in so many ways, reading together in the bus, lending comics yet they only talked once or twice by then. Also they still focused on the way Eleanor was dealing with her family which was nice to see because you'd be surprised how many people around you have serious problems which you don't get to see.
My favorite part was when Park's mother accepted Eleanor as family after relating with her and her big family and it made my eyes water.
The ending though. I loved this book and I get how Rowell didn't want them to have a perfect ending but still it was so heartbreaking to see them like that in the end. Overall the writing was beautiful and the character development was really good.

Introduction

Okay here we go. First post. Well I should introduce myself first. My name is Mario and I am 19 years old. I live in Cyprus and I am currently serving in the army. I have always loved reading books  (or at least the idea of it) but I never read that much because I had difficulty reading Greek and my English was not developed enough so that I can read a book. And when my vocabulary was enriched with words and I could read and talk fluently I had to read my assigned school books therefore never had time to read what I wanted to. Summer last year after finishing school and graduated I decided to give reading a try and read The Fault In Our Stars. I loved that book. It was so much more than I expected it to be. I then read Looking for Alaska and then fell in love with both John Green and reading in general. Since then every time I had free time in the Army I would just read. I mostly read Young Adult and Contemporary (Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe, Paper Towns etc) but I also like Fiction, mostly Post-Apocalyptic (Hunger Games). Since I started reading I got some of my friends into reading too which is nice because I can talk about books we both read together but I always wanted to express my feelings down, and now I can with this new blog. Although I have read a lot of books I obviously wont review them but I will start with the last book that I finished, which is Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe.  That will probably be my next post. Soo yeah thats it about me. Hopefully I will learn more and meet more people in this book blogging community!
